When talking about Kansas state football, here I will be talking about the different teams, their winnings and their star players.
On the 26th of Jan 2003, The National Football corporation Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the American Football Corporation, Oakland raiders to 48 - 21 to clinch the super bowl XXXVII at Calif in San Diego. The Buccaneers defense beat the Oakland's veteran quarterback five times and made five interceptions. Super bowls most valuable player award was presented to the Tampa Bay safety Dexter Jackson. He was the only seventh defensive player to be awarded this title. Jon Gruden, the coach of the Buccaneers was acquired at a mind blowing fee. He was given two first round draft picks, followed by two second round draft picks and eight million dollars. During the play off matches, the Buccaneers were able to beat the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles. The former were beaten by 31 - 6 and the later by 27 - 10. By beating the Philadelphia Eagles they won the National Food ball corporation title. The Oakland raiders made it first time to the super bowl since 1984. They made it to the game by beating the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. The New York jets were beaten 30 to 10 and the Tennessee Titans were beaten 41 to 24.
Talking about the regular season's game, the most valuable player award went to Gannon who played for the American Footballs conference west champion raiders. Oakland leads the league and finished second in the Kansas City league.
Gannon set his individual records by 481 completions in the National Football League. Further he had 21 consecutive completions in a game and created another record by having 300 yard passing in at least 10 games. He led the league with 4,689 yd passing.
Other records created were by New England's Tom Brady, Tampa Bay's Brad Johnson and the Chiefs' Trent Green.
For the last 17 years NFC South champion Tampa Bay's defense was the most statistically dominating person.
The league formed six divisions which it was earlier to eight. In the previous season only two teams had come out as champions, whereas in this season three of them made it to the champions. The three teams who made it the champions are Eagles of the National football conference east, the Pittsburgh Steelers in the American football conference north, and the Raiders. The raiders were the first team to win a third consecutive division title in five years. The other winners were San Francisco 49ers and the Packers. The Packers took the National Foot ball conference north for the first time in five years. The San Francisco 49ers team won the National Football Conference West. The Jets won in the American Foot ball conference East title. The Titans won the title in the American Foot ball conference south.
The maximum development was done by the Panthers of the Kansas state football, who improved their record the most, by six games. The biggest losers of the season were the Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Ramsat. The Chicago Bears lost in all nine games and the St Louis Ramsat lost seven games in all.
